Petroleum Geologist

Mr. Brock has spent twenty years working as an exploration geologist in almost all of the producing trends of Gulf Coastal Texas and Louisiana. During his career in the oil business David has been involved in the discovery of numerous oil and gas fields, both large and small.

David began his career in the oil industry as an exploration geologist for Cities Service Oil Company in San Antonio, and then worked for Dow Chemical Company (Oil & Gas Division), and Florida Gas Exploration Company in Houston. He moved to Corpus Christi to open an exploration office for Maynard Oil Company. Then he became an independent geologist.

David was employed as an indepenent geologist on retainer by Billy M. Easley (Easley Oil & Gas Company) before opening an office on his own. He joined American Shoreline, Inc. in early 2007, where he has been searching for new oil and gas drilling prospects in South Texas.

He attended the University of California (Berkeley) and the University of Texas (Austin), earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology.

David is a member of the Corpus Christi Geological Society. He has served in the past as Editor of the monthly Bulletin, as well as Treasurer, for the Society. He has also served as Treasurer of the Oil Belt Little League in Corpus Christi.
